Beversdorf Real Estate & Inurance was founded by Herbert Beversdorf in 1954. The agency was located in the Truck Line Auto building (Chevrolet Auto Dealership) on Main Street, Birnamwood.  Jane Resch joined her father in 1979 as his secretary, a year later becoming a licensed insurance agent.  Upon the death of her father in November of 1981, Jane purchased the agency from her mother and renamed it Jane Resch Birnamwood Insurance, continuing to operate out of the same office.  Jane was then joined by her husband Joe Resch in 1985; shortly after, purchasing the Koeppel Agency in Wausau.

      By 1990, Jane and Joe outgrew the office on Main Street and moved to an office located in the Truck's Place restaurant building on Hwy 45 Birnamwood.  Shortly after the move, Jane and Joe once again expanded their agency by purchasing the Roger Jensen Agency.  By 1994, the Resch's knew they needed to add another local agent to help service their client base;  Tammy Resch, a former employee of Banner Banks joined the team and was a natural fit.  Through the years, Tammy has grown with the agency and has become the Vice President.

      On the move again, Jane and Joe purchased Agency Services, Inc. of Birnamwood in 1994 and relocated in the Banner Bank building, renaming the agency Resch Birnamwood Insurance Agency, Inc.  In the same year, with great gratitude Jane and Joe's son Alan moved back to the area heading the agency to continued success.  May of 1995, Alan hired Clay Zogata as an office assistance and has remained with the agency as licensed agent and now VP of Agency Operations. The year 1996 was a thriller year for the agency as Jane Resch was named "Agent of the Year" by the Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin.  By 1997, the team once again outgrew their office space and decided to build a new building on Main Street in Birnamwood, the building they now occupy.

      Forever keeping the Resch Insurance clients in mind, new personnel were added to serve their local insurance needs.  October 2006, Patty Alwes joined the Resch Insurance crew as an office assistant.  Five months later, in March 2007, Jennifer Petro, a licensed Customer Service Representative from American Family was curious to see what independent agents have to offer and joined the team as an agent.  October of 2008, Gregg James, a Wausau native, became a licensed insurance agent to support the Weston area residents.  May of 2009, Tim Strasser, formerly of Antigo, saw the opportunity the agency had to offer with financial products, joining the team as a experienced financial representative, to help serve the growing client base in the Wausau area. 

      The ever expanding agency also wanted to help Wausau area customers fulfill and maintain their insurance needs and felt a local agency in Weston would serve these deserving residences.  Clay, Gregg & Tim opened Resch Insurance Agency of Weston in September of 2009.  The local community support has been outstanding and welcoming.  Most recently, Teresa Bergner, a Birnamwood native, was added to the licensed customer support team in February 2010, allowing more time for the agents to service their clients.
